The most popular way to get to Hainan Island is by air. There are 2 airports in Hainan Island, one is Haikou Meilan airport located in Haikou city, and the other is Sanya Phoenix Airport. There are more than 30 direct flights to Sanya from other cities in China including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shenyang, Wuhan, Qingdao, and some international airlines from HongKong, Seoul, and Moscow. There will be more flights to Haikou as it is the capital city of the island, so if there is no direct flight from your departing city to Sanya, you can fly to Haikou, then take bus down to Sanya cost 3.5 hours, otherwise, you can fly to Sanya via Guangzhou because there will be around 10 flights from Guangzhou to Sanya daily and needs only 60 minutes.

You may be in China ,such in Beijing,you can also by train, it is cheaper than flight, if you have no money ,you’d better get to Hainan island by train , Guangzhou to Haikou railway started from Dec.5, 2004 with a length of 568 km , which is the Chinese only one cross-strait channel passageway
